Hi, I’m Lexi!

I’m a 25-year-old filmmaker, photographer, and creative strategist based in Raleigh, NC — and the founder of The Reel Shot.

Before I ever picked up a camera, I was a dancer. I trained competitively for sixteen years, learning how to tell stories without speaking. Dance taught me discipline, spatial awareness, and how emotion lives in the body. When I found film and photography, I realized I was still doing the same thing — just through a different lens.

I’m naturally drawn to the in-between moments. The quiet before someone speaks. The laugh that isn’t posed. The stillness in window light. I care about framing, pacing, silence, and the emotional subtext most people overlook. My work is rooted in identity, intimacy, and transformation — creating images that feel honest and unguarded.

I hold a Master of Arts in Film Studies, and I think deeply about narrative, audience, and intention. But more than anything, I care about people. I want my clients to feel seen, safe, and fully themselves in front of the camera.

I’m ambitious, detail-oriented, and always building — creatively and strategically. I believe strong storytelling and strong systems can coexist.
